A Winterberry Welcome

As I sit here and contemplate the reality that most of the Christmas decorating will have to come down I thought about my beautiful winterberry that welcomes you at my door.  I also realized that I posted a picture of these beautiful arrangements on my Facebook page with Christmas well wishes but I had not included them in a blog post.

I know many of you are fans of winterberry because a past post about it turned out to be one of my more popular post.  So please forgive me, or indulge me this opportunity to share these pictures also here on the blog.  The arrangements contain winterberry, cedar, and magnolia from our yard.

I realize that I teased you a little in my summer post about garden containers, making you guess which color container I chose, and promising you a later reveal.  I also now realize that I never got back to revealing.  As you can see we went with the beautiful green.  They have been a great choice.

Check out the reflection in the windows of our brilliant winterberry bushes growing in the yard.

The lighted Christmas trees will surely go away from the entry in the next few days but I imagine that the winterberry arrangements will linger well into the new year.  Thanks again to my darling husband for his beautiful handiwork in crafting these arrangements.   -  Marianne
