Celebrating Women

Nothing is more energizing than meeting up with a group of intelligent, fun, beautiful women that time and distance has separated you from.   I had the wonderful opportunity to reunite with just such a group  this past weekend.  I was invited to join in festivities with my Chi Omega sisters from college.  Some I had not seen in person for 30 years.  I am thankful for social media that has allowed me to make small connections that would not have happened otherwise and those connections led to getting together in person which was truly extra special.  A buzz of excitement filled the room  We learned about each others families and work, shared successes and life changes, loved on each other over personal losses, remembered the sisters who were no longer with us, and shared some of our passions.  We walked and danced down memory lane to the tunes of our college days. Then we laughed, and laughed, and laughed some more.  Times like these are good for the soul.

Although time has created some changes we were still very much the same.  We still have a bond that is shared with a time, a place, our sisters and others that were there on the journey with us.  I dedicate this post to all these amazing women.
