Downtown Greensboro Part:1

Downtown Greensboro has an interesting mix of shops and boutiques and I decided it was definitely time for me to check it all out.  My exploring has only begun but I already have some good finds to share with everyone.  So we might as well jump right in.

It is good to do a little research before you begin and Downtown Greensboro has a wonderful website to get you started.  You can easily select the type of shop you are looking for.  You can then click on more information about that store and star your favorites.  Click on the map button to get directions.  It’s that easy.
I mapped out my explorations for this day all on Elm St. and when I got there drove for South to North to get a good idea where my choices were located before I parked.

I decided to start at blvd. INTERIORS MARKETPLACE.  They had plenty of parking which was a relief.  They offer a collection of merchants, interior designers and artists from across the state specializing in products for home interiors.  The space is sectioned into individual boutiques.  You will find a variety of products and a little inspiration for your home.  The pictures below offer a sampling of what you will find.

Bright colors are hot now which is nice since I like color.  An easy way to change up your home to reflect a change in seasons is to simply change out throw pillows on your sofa and change a few accessories.  These pillows would definitely say hello summer.  Switch out one of these bright colored lamps in your guest room for a sunny welcome for visitors.

Beautiful glass jar.

Who could not be happy in the room below?  Comfy, cozy and colorful too.

If you favor a more neutral color pallet there are some beautiful rooms to inspire you and to buy from.

Little details make a difference. Like detailing on a pillow or a stack of books  bound with a ribbon. Below sea fans add a pop of color to a neutral pallet.

I am addicted to glass. I am not sure what the allure of this material is but I like it in most every shape, form and color.

These wine decanters were fabulous. They were so delicate and unique.

They exhibit a good selection of original art work by various artist in a variety of styles.

A nice surprise was this beautiful jewelry. And what girl doesn't like jewelry?

I definitely think you will really enjoy a visit to blvd. INTERIORS MARKETPLACE. I sure did! I know I will be going back.

Look for more blog entries to come about other shops I found in downtown Greensboro NC and some of the purchases I made.
