The Barclay Butera Collection For Highland House

The new Barclay Butera Collection for Highland House was definitely a highlight of the High Point Market.  This beautiful Brigitte Credenza in a jewel tone blue with gold greek key detailing was simply gorgeous.  It is a great representation of Barclay Butera's intent to offer something fresh and unexpected for a national design audience.

The Kelly Desk

The Kelly desk is a great companion to the Brigitte Credenza.  The straight lines and dramatic gold trim are softened and kept fresh for today's sensibilities when paired with the zigzag print on this side chair.

The Marlene Display Cabinet by Barclay Butera

I have a passion for the texture and warmth of grasscloth so you know I was in love with this Marlene Display cabinet with a grasscloth finish and nailhead trim.  It is refreshing to see pieces in new finishes with special details.

He likes to refer to his furniture selections as "jewelry" for the home and chooses to blend colors like the blue white and emerald green that you see in the collection.  I like the idea of more jewelry.

The Hepburn Chair

Details like contrasting welt and greek key trim add a level of sophistication and customization to this collection.  All crisp and fresh in shades of blue and white.

The Davis Wing Chair

The Davis Wing Chair is a fresh take on traditional with this beautiful fabric designed by Barclay Butera.  The contrast welt, nailhead trim and white legs give it all the finishing touches.

The blue and white ginger jars that he likes made their way into the showroom also.  I talked about the popularity of ginger jars in my post last week.  Great looking hammered lamps, also available through his lifestyles collection.

The Fontaine Chair

The Fontaine chair was so cute in this oversized greek key fabric.  Just another example of how he likes to create the unexpected, taking a classic traditional design and updating it.
