Tie Dye Fabric Inspires Teen Room

Cool Tie Dyed Fabric

I am often asked about what makes a good starting point for designing a room and choosing colors for a room.  In many cases it begins with a fabric.  The fabric can set the tone and mood of the room and also dictate color selection. I found this fabric the other day when I was checking out the geometrics.  I just couldn't pass up taking a picture.  I knew there must be a teen somewhere that would love this fabric and draw some inspiration here. This would be so cute on a bedspread and curtains.

I snapped a few pictures of some things you could pull together to complete the room. All items were found locally.  I will put a list at the end of the post.  So here goes...

This lime green table is great.  Put one on each side of the bed for end tables.

Add a pop of color on those tables with these hot pink lamps.

Add some Flower Power to go with your tie dye with this photography print in just the right colors.

A lime green flower shaped vase to display those spring flowers we are all eager to see growing in our yards.

Every girl likes a little bling and shine.  Bring it in with these brightly colored vinyl memo boards.

Organization is  a cinch with matching pink totes. You might as well make your storage pretty and have it right there in the open as part of your decorating.

For a little fun and to remind them of that little girl inside pick one of these darling handmade monkeys.  

And hang this in her room to remind her every day that she is loved and that beauty and happiness begin on the inside. So nice to see some cute faith based accessories.

Well there it is. Instant teen room. And it all started with a knock out tie dyed fabric.

Look for inspiration in fabrics, pictures, pillows, or other accessories that you love and build from there.
