Kid Friendly Room Divider

I like little surprise finds when I am shopping and this kid friendly room divider certainly was a nice surprise.  It can be challenging to find a piece that is both functional and inspires little imaginations.  This artistic street scene could inspire hours of creative play from cooking up bakery delights to delivering those special first letters to loved ones.

The pink color palette with accents of teal, lavender, and tangerine is lively and fresh.  This divider is like a large art installation and would be perfect to break up space in a large room and to hide unsightly storage in a smaller room.  If neither of those is what you need then just hang it on the wall.

Sometimes the artwork or pictures are the last thing people think about when planning kid spaces but it can be an important element of creating the environment you want.  I was lucky to have a mother who was an educator and knew the value of exposing me to all kinds of things including art.  I can remember spending hours with a large fine art book that included all the noteworthy works of famous artist.  I know that time was well spent and has most certainly influenced how I see things today.

Isn't it nice that artwork has jumped out of books and galleries and off walls to be found also in our furnishings and accessories.  So go ahead and add a little art to the lives of your little loved ones.  I'm certainly carrying on a tradition. - Marianne
